| Artists's Statement Furry creatures and empty eyes, lonely funerals and girls in trouble. Never one to rest on a theme, yet an interconnection that is prevalent throughout. It is the artist’s journey that matters most and the implementation of a style that is always becoming. A son of Los Angeles, artist Jason Cruz chose AmerikanBlackheart as the label he would stamp his creations and mark his daydreams. Inspired by echoes of secret wars , dark ally ways and cigarette smoke , forgotten cinema and the songs of the damned. Together with a constant flow of original artwork and photography, a growing following, and an absurd sense of wonder for the world there is no end to the romantic depths and cartoonish heights of AmerikanBlackheart.
